Writing - Poetry - We review the haiku and acrostic poem, learned about tongue twisters, alliteration and free verse poems. Students brainstormed ideas and then wrote tongue twisters and free verse poems. They then copied them into their poetry booklets

Reading - We read a play (Reader's Theater) about Lightening Larry. We'll do more with this story tomorrow

History - Introduction to History, what is it, why is it important, what will we be studying and I introduced the concept of perspective

Reading - We discussed the term genre and setting.

Math - Took up the answers to Friday's homework. Learned about decimal place value and rounding numbers.

Art - Drew a colour wheel. Learned about primary, secondary and complementary colours. Then created a pattern using circles and straight lines
