2008 School Year 1st Computer Lesson

Here is where you will go at the beginning of every computer lesson. This will tell you all the things you need to get done before you can have free time.

(Some days you will have some free time. Other days you will have no free time. Please don't complain. You are here to learn and to get an education. The only way to learn is to try new things or practice things you aren't good at. Going to the same websites you always do probably is not going to help your education :)

Step 1: Go to www.hotmail.com sign up for a new account. You will be using this account in class. You will need to put your email address and password on the cue card I gave you. You are not to access your personal email during class. This password will be used to send email back and forth to Ms. Griffin. The school and Ms. Griffin have access to this email so don't use it for personal stuff. Don't log out of hotmail.

Step 2: Open Word Perfect Office 12 and then open Word Perfect. You are going to type a short message with your name telling me something you did this weekend. Then you are going to save it to your "my documents" as "student's name first email"

Step 3: Go to hotmail and attach your document from word perfect to your first email. I will give you more instructions on this in class.

Step 4: Send your email to Ms. Griffin pontaic7g@hotmail.com

Step 5: Work through Lesson 7 on Alberta Spy Guys http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/mesg/html/math6web/math6shell.html

Step 6: Show Ms. Griffin that you completed the lesson.

Step 7: If time.....free time
